AI Content Disclosure

Summary

Reserv.Now uses AI-generated audio and video in some of its marketing content. We do not use AI in the Reserv.Now product itself, and we do not use AI to make decisions about customers, bookings, or staff. This page explains exactly where AI is used and where it is not.

1. Where AI is used

Our marketing video content (long-form videos on YouTube and short clips on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn) is produced using the following AI tools:

2. How we disclose AI content

We disclose AI-generated content in four ways across every piece of video marketing we publish:

  • An on-screen text label ("AI-generated avatar") appears briefly when the AI avatar is shown.
  • The video description on every platform (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn) includes the line: "Narration in this video is generated using ElevenLabs AI voice synthesis. Some segments feature an AI-generated avatar from HeyGen. The presenter is not a real person."
  • We toggle each platform's "AI-generated content" flag at upload (this is a setting on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook that adds the platform's own AI label).
  • This disclosure page exists at reserv.now/ai-disclosure and is linked from our privacy policy.

3. Where AI is NOT used

We do not use AI for any of the following — and we have no plans to change this without first updating this page and giving advance notice:

  • Inside the Reserv.Now product. The booking flow, dashboard, scheduling logic, customer directory, billing — none of this involves AI. All product features behave deterministically based on the data you and your customers enter.
  • Customer support. When you email support@reserv.now, a real human (the founder, currently) reads and replies. We do not use AI to draft, screen, or auto-reply to support messages.
  • Decisions about your account, bookings, or staff. No automated decision-making (in the GDPR Article 22 sense) takes place. Pause, cancel, and seat-change decisions follow plainly-documented rules in our product code; they are not made by AI models.
  • Generating customer-facing content on your behalf. When you configure your booking page, services, or email templates, those are your words — we do not auto-generate or auto-fill them with AI.
  • Profiling, scoring, or ranking customers/prospects. We do not build AI models of customer behaviour and we do not score customers for targeting or marketing purposes.
  • Training AI models on customer data. No customer or end-user data from the Reserv.Now product is used to train any AI model (ours or any third party's).

4. Legal framework

This disclosure is provided to comply with:

  • UK CAP Code Section 3 (Misleading) and the Advertising Standards Authority's 2024 guidance on AI-generated content.
  • UK Trade Marks Act 1994 and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 — to the extent our content makes any factual claim, it must be substantiable independent of how it was produced.
  • Australian Consumer Law (s.18 — misleading or deceptive conduct) and the Australian Association of National Advertisers Code of Ethics.
  • EU AI Act Articles 50(2) and 50(4), which apply to AI-generated audio, image, and video content that may reach EU viewers via cross-posted social media. Article 50 deepfake-disclosure obligations apply from August 2026.
  • Platform-specific policies on disclosing AI-generated content (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn).

5. Changes to this policy

If we begin using AI in a new context (for example, adding AI-assisted features to the product, or starting to train models on user data), we will update this page first and notify customers via email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. We will not retroactively apply new AI usage to data collected under an earlier version of this policy without explicit opt-in.
